Acquisition

Today we are pleased to announce that Kysohin Co., Ltd, the parent company of English Language Company Australia Pty Ltd (ELC), has acquired ELC Australia Pty Ltd.

All ELC Australia operations have been relocated to the ELC campus at 495 Kent Street, Sydney. ELC business programs will continue with no significant changes or disruption for the students. The ELC RTO Manager, Business Coordinator, trainers and programs of study remain unchanged, and the staff at ELC and ELC are working closely together to ensure that the transition process is as smooth as possible for the students and agent partners.

The acquisition of ELC results in the coming together of two of Australia’s most respected providers of English language and vocational training, providing a safe and secure environment for current and future students, and reassurance and business continuity for the agents of both colleges.

Those of you who know ELC and ELC will note that the fit between the colleges is excellent with many common values and a shared vision to provide the highest standards of education and services. ELC and ELC have a combined history of over 50 years. ELC was founded in 1985, making it one of the longest-established schools for international students in Australia. ELC was founded in 2003 and is a multiple award-winning English school with an excellent global reputation.

Now, two of Australia’s best schools will be operating in one modern campus to deliver top quality English and vocational education courses, creating a new education hub of the highest quality in the Sydney city centre.

The two colleges will be led by David Scott as Managing Director and Lyn Scott as Academic Director. Tanya Janklin will remain as the RTO Manager for ELC VET courses. Shannon Szabo will continue as Director of Studies for English courses at ELC. And of course, our partners can be assured of a continued close relationship with our trusted management, marketing and administration teams.

We believe that the combining of ELC and ELC is an exciting development in the industry in Australia. We will keep you informed in the coming months as we add new, innovative and specialised courses for international students in the post-pandemic world.

We look forward to working with our worldwide partners to chart a new path together from 2021. And above all, we look forward to welcoming back international students to Sydney.
