Here is an overview of ELC’s work programs for 2024 and 2025.

Work Ready

Work Ready is ELC’s internal, free work support program, available to all ELC students. Work Ready includes a free pre-arrival online course on getting a job in Australia, fortnightly workshops, as well as free 1-1 with our dedicated Work Coordinator.

Work & Travel

ELC continues to work closely with Work and Travel Company to deliver the ultimate Working Holiday package of English classes, casual jobs as well as year-long support for all things backpacking!

Professional Internships

To cater to a wider range of student needs and budgets, we are now partnering with both Internships Down Under and Australian Internships. This will ensure we can offer more affordable internships in more general fields to our more budget-conscious Working Holiday markers, while continuing to offer expert services to the more specific requests from students seeking placements in more niche markets, including those who need a 407 Training visa.

Au pair & Demi pair

Our popular au pair program continues to welcome Working Holiday makers who first come to study with us for 4-17 weeks and then move onto their au pair experience but in addition, we have now started working with a dedicated Demi pair agency: this will ensure that all demi pair placement requests can be honoured with more flexible arrival dates and program length, perfect for our student visa cohort.

Conservation Volunteering

We are very thrilled to start working with a new partner and to now offer exciting volunteering experiences in direct connection with Australia’s wildlife: programs include caring for injured wildlife, wildlife rehabilitation, as well as Great Barrier Reef conservation!
