The school is absolutely great – the first month I had great classmates and most of them were from Europe (two from the Czech Republic), so we meet after school 2-3 times a week and we are still in touch. I have never played so much billiards as we play here in my entire life.We got the best teacher at the school and I really liked his way of teaching. It never feels like traditional studying because he is always giving us feedback – I’ve already learned so much from it. On the first day he suggested I transfer to C2 at Cambridge, so I was very happy and from 15 September, I am already studying CPE.
I am also satisfied with the accommodation, we met a good group of people here and there is a direct line to the school from here, for this reason I plan to stay in the house and not change accommodation. It was “more work” with work, but after 2 months I have a job and I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ve already managed to go on a road trip with my classmates to Cairns and Port Douglas, where I felt the real Australian life, just as I imagined it. To sum it up, I’m satisfied, I’m enjoying every moment and I’m looking forward to being here. Australia is beautiful and although Sydney is not 100% representative, so far everything meets my expectations and I’m happy here.

The ELC is amazing! The teachers are very nice and create a good atmosphere in class. We learn a lot and it’s personalized for our level. In addition, the school is very well placed and there are plenty of great activities organized! There is even a travel desk that helps us entirely to organize trips. I recommend ELC school to learn English as well as for an excellent experience.

I really like Sydney because it’s a very beautiful city with a lot of activities to do. You can catch the train and go to the beaches, chilling on the sand, playing volley ball or do surfing.

You can also see animals in zoo, in sanctuary and also in the wildlife.

I enjoy going to nightclubs, bars, festivals and eating in restaurants.

I live in a host family and I have to best experience because I hanging out with one of their kids. I discovered a lot of things because of them and I’m very grateful for that.

I had a great time at ELC and felt very comfortable at Iglu Chatswood, my accommodation. The staff at ELC was very helpful and assisted me promptly when needed.

The overall experience in Australia has been wonderful and it really helped me growing both personally and linguistically thanks as well to all the people I had the luck to meet during my stay.

Japan

Hello. My name is Akiko Tanaka and I am studying at ELC in Sydney.

I recommend this school to Japanese, because there are few Japanese students in this school. Instead, there are many European students and Brazilian students. At first, most Japanese students will be confused with different cultures. But after 1 month, you will see that you fit in perfectly with your class mates and enjoy studying English at this school so much! This school’s facilities are very good: you can use your computer at student lounges with Wi-Fi. Also, there are many computers at the library and the student lounges. It is FREE!!! The school receptionists and teachers are very friendly and kind.

I have decided to join the Work & Travel program too. After graduating this school, I’ll get some job information from the company. So I’m not worried about job hunting. Finally, I would recommend this school to Japanese. If you want to make friends with people from other countries, you should come to ELC.

Here are some pictures of myself at school and with my classmates, at the Blue Mountains as well as with the kids of my Homestay family! There are always things to do on the weekend!
