Our 2026 Cambridge Exam Preparation course dates are now ready!
Cambridge Exam Preparation courses are some of ELC’s most popular courses. In fact, ELC is the only school in Sydney offering preparation courses up to the C2 Proficiency level!
In 2026, we will continue to offer closed courses, optimum for students to progress faster, benefiting from great synergies in class.
We will continue to offer the 3 popular intakes each year: January, March and September.
The courses will prepare students for the Cambridge Digital Exams, which will always be scheduled during the last week of the course (typically on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday). No written or speaking exams will take place after the course end date, making accommodation booking and travel date considerations very straightforward.
For full details on the exact course dates, you can refer to our price list or to the following document.

Cambridge English Qualifications Digital

If you are not familiar with this new exam format there are 2 main things to know:
1. The qualifications themselves remain the same: same content, same task types, same length, and timing, speaking test still in person and taken in pairs, etc…
2. Only the format is different and there is a myriad of advantages to the Digital exams, including:

  • Taken on computers – which the Gen Z are more comfortable on than paper, and which is great for this generation of fast typers.
  • All advantages that computers bring, such as copying/pasting, inserting extra text, or correcting answers, which is messy on paper.
  • The platform is full of great little functionalities, such as an on-screen timer (which can be hidden if candidates find it stressful), easy navigation between sections, the ability to flag questions that candidates feel they may need to review later if they have time, a progression bar, the ability to highlight text or make notes, automatic word count, etc…
  • A range of accessibility settings.

As part of their course, ELC students now practice for their exam on the Digital practice tests that Cambridge English has made available. This means that, on their exam day, all our students are fully familiar with the navigation, functionalities, and setting options, ensuring a smooth user experience and allowing them to focus on the exam questions in the best possible conditions.
