Free Pre-arrival Online lessons

As you might have noticed from our pre-arrival emails these past few weeks, ELC is now offering complimentary online lessons for students to access from the moment they enrol at ELC.
Specifically focused on language for the first few days in Sydney, these lessons are already proving very popular amongst our newest students. Our “Welcome to Sydney” bundle includes the following lessons:

• Arriving into Australia: language for use at the airport, together with information on the Sydney international airport itself and on the Incoming Passenger Card (IPC)
• Getting around Sydney: language for directions and use of public transport, together with information on Sydney’s public transport system and transport card
• Talking to your host family: useful vocabulary for homestay, how to ask for things and typical questions a host might ask.
• Meeting people: how to start up a conversation with someone, for instance in accommodation.

Each lesson is completely online and self-paced, with a relatively low language level to cater for our lower-level learners.
Moving forward, students will find the link to these lessons from their Welcome Letter upon enrolment. They will simply need to follow the link and will then be asked to create their own account for free (setting up their own username and password).
Once students have created their account, they’ll even find more lessons accessible from their dashboard, including lessons on Australian culture as well as our very popular “getting a job in Australia” online course.
