Frequently Asked Questions

Work Ready Program is primarily designed to help Student visa holders look for a part-time job and is also suitable for Working Holiday visa holders.

The Work Ready Program is free for all ELC students.

Apart from manual labour and cleaning work, most jobs require a minimum B1 level (equivalent to Upper-Intermidiate).

Student visa holders can work when they are not attending class, generally in the evenings for daytime students and in the day for evening students.  Working Holiday students usually study first and then work full time after their course but they can also work part time while they study.

The RSA is the Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. This qualification is mandatory for bar and restaurant staff in Australia. This is a one-day course and you will get your certificate on the same day. The cost of the RSA is approximately $130.
